Privacy Policy

How iDesk handles information and system permissions.

iDesk is a personal productivity workspace. The current release does not operate an advertising, analytics or cross-app tracking service and does not sell personal information.

Files and documents

Files and documents created or stored in iDesk remain locally on the user's device unless the user explicitly chooses to share, export or open them with another app or service.

Photos

With permission, iDesk can read and manage the user's Apple Photo Library. This enables browsing, albums, favourites, search, Live Photos, video, basic editing, saving edited copies and deletion.

Face detection is performed on-device using Apple frameworks and is not used to identify individuals for advertising or marketing. Location displayed for a photo comes from metadata already contained in that photo; iDesk does not request the user's current device location.

Contacts

With permission, iDesk reads contact names, telephone numbers and email addresses so they can be displayed and searched inside the Contacts tool. iDesk does not upload the address book to an iDesk-operated server.

Calendar

With permission, iDesk reads calendar events so they can be displayed inside iDesk. The current release does not modify the user's calendar events.

Microphone and recordings

Microphone access is used only when the user chooses to start Voice Recorder. Recordings are saved locally in iDesk unless the user explicitly shares or exports them.

Notifications

iDesk requests notification permission when the user enables an alarm. Alarm notifications are scheduled locally using iOS.

External services and sharing

Data leaves iDesk only when the user explicitly chooses an export/share operation or opens an external application or service. Information handled by another app or service is subject to that provider's own privacy practices.

Tracking and advertising

The current release of iDesk does not contain advertising, cross-app tracking or an iDesk-operated analytics service.

Retention and deletion

Locally stored iDesk files remain until the user deletes them or removes the application. System permissions can be changed or revoked at any time in iPhone Settings.
